Adem Ljajic will leave Fiorentina next summer and join AC Milan on a free transfer, Goal.com reports.

The midfielder’s future at Fiorentina has been the subject of intense speculation all summer, with several reports suggesting the Serbian wants to leave Florence and play for a more high profile club.

Fiorentina are desperate to keep one of their best players at the club but Ljajic only has one year remaining on his contract with the Italian club and has so far refused to sign a new deal.

Ljajic has already made up his mind and has already agreed to join AC Milan in principle next summer.

This could force Fiorentina into selling Ljajic this summer as they don’t want to let one of their best players leave for free.

AC Milan have submitted a bid with Fiorentina to sign Ljajic this summer but it was rejected by the Florence based club.

Milan are now willing to wait until next summer in order to get their man for a free, confident in the knowledge that Ljajic wants to join them.

However, clubs such as Liverpool and Roma are known to be keen on Ljajic and could up their interest in the player as the transfer window draws to a close.
