Check in to Transfer Window: Done Deal Alerts

Gareth Bale has failed to turn up for training with his Tottenham team mates as a protest at how the club are handling his potential transfer to Real Madrid, Sky Sports reports.

The Welsh international had expected to complete his move to the Spanish capital by Tuesday but Tottenham continue to deny that a deal has been reached with Madrid.

This has left Bale “furious” with Spurs and reports suggest that the Welshman is starting to lose patience with his current club as the end of the transfer window draws ever closer.

Reports on Monday emerged suggesting that Real Madrid weren’t the only club to be interested in signing Gareth Bale, with Manchester United heavily linked with a move for the winger.

Manchester United manager David Moyes said that the Red Devils could be interested in a move for Bale but denied that they have made an offer for the Welshman.

Regarding possible interest in Bale, Moyes told Sky Sports: “I said at the start that Manchester United will always be interested in the best players and we’ll always be looking to try and improve the team”.

Spurs are thought to be annoyed at Real Madrid’s “arrogant” stance over the Bale transfer, with chairman Daniel Levy wanting to sell his star player when he has the Welshman’s replacements lined up.
