Inter Milan coach Walter Mazzarri has remained quiet over rumours that the Italian side could re-sign former striker Samuel Eto’o, Goal.com reports.

Eto’o looks certain to leave Anzhi Makhachkala this summer due to the financial problems that the Russian club are currently suffering from.

The striker was part of Jose Mourinho’s treble winning Inter side of 2010 and has been linked with a move back to the San Siro before the transfer window closes on September 2nd.

Despite reports suggesting that Eto’o has been offered to Inter, Mazzarri remained tight lipped about a return to the San Siro for the veteran front man.

He told reporters after Inter 2-0 win over Genoa: “Eto’o arrives? It’s not my place to speak. I’m happy to coach the team I have right now and we’ll see what the market says.”

Inter Milan aren’t the only club that have been linked with a move for Eto’o before the transfer window closes.

Chelsea are considering making a move for the striker if they fail in their pursuit of Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney while Real Madrid may also try and sign the striker if Karim Benzema moves to Arsenal.
