Argentine ace intent at the Bernabeu.
Real Madrid midfielder Angel Di Maris has underlined his desire to stay at the club despite reports saying he could be moved on in place of Tottenham Hotspur’s Gareth Bale, Sky Sports reports.
The 25-year-old starred in a Man-of-the-Match display in Monday night’s Primera Division win at Granada and earned plaudits from coach Carlo Ancelotti.
He highlighted just what he can contribute to the side amidst heavy speculation surrounding his future, with reports claiming that he could be on the chopping block at the Santiago Bernabeu to make way for Gareth Bale, should he complete his big money move to the Spanish capital before transfer deadline day.
The likes of Arsenal and Galatasaray have been strongly linked with moves for the Argentinian international, but he has reiterated his desire to stay at the club.
“I understand that the club is strengthening and they are precise in what they do,” Di Maria is quoted by AS.
“But I signed up to 2018 just a year ago and my desire is to stay in the Bernabeu.”
Di Maria has made 139 appearances for Real, scoring 25 goals and 53 appearances since signing on from Benfica for an initial fee of €25 million in 2010.
