Bulgarian winger becomes Arsenal target.
Arsenal could be set to rival their north London neighbours Tottenham for Bulgarian winger Todor Nedelev, according to the Daily Mail.
The 20-year-old is a highly rated attacking player, having impressed with his club side Botev Plovdiv over the last few seasons, as well as earning a call-up to the senior Bulgarian national team.
Nedelev has been likened to Spurs star Gareth Bale in his style of play, and it had been rumoured that the White Hart Lane club were looking to bring the youngster in as a replacement for the Welshman when he completes his move to Real Madrid.
But now Arsenal, who are always keen to bring in young talent on the cheap, could hijack the bid for Nedelev and make him their second signing of the summer, joining another youngster in Yaya Sanogo in moving to the Emirates Stadium.
Although Arsenal fans will be pleased to see their team beat Tottenham to a player, they could be disappointed again with a lack of big-money investment in more experienced and established names, with the Gunners missing out on the likes of Gonzalo Higuain, Luis Suarez and Luiz Gustavo so far this summer.
Roma and Hamburg have also been monitoring Nedelev’s situation, as he surely looks set for a big move sooner or later.
