Stamford Bridge side to welcome in experienced striker.
Chelsea have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o according to Sports Direct News.
Anzhi Makhachkala have already sold Brazilian Willian to the Stamford Bridge side and Jose Mourinho will reunite with his former Inter Milan charge Eto’o who this source claims will be officially unveiled as a Chelsea player following a medical when he arrives in London tomorrow.
Chelsea boss Mourinho may be keen to bring in further attacking options and having made two unsuccessful bids for Man United striker Wayne Rooney could opt to turn his attention to Eto’o as a shorter term solution to his side’s lack of effective striking options.
At 32 Eto’o is clearly no spring chicken but he has remained in shape and has scored goals in abundance wherever he’s played and could perhaps be the icing on the cake of an attack that would see the former Barcelona man join up with Schurrle, Lukaku and Fernando Torres.
Eto’o has amassed 288 goals in 543 appearances during a career that has seen the Cameroon international win four domestic titles and three Champions League winners medals.
