Arjen Robben is confident that Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola will make him become an even better player this season, Goal.com reports.

The Dutchman has been in fantastic form already this year, scoring the winning goal in the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund.

However, Robben feels that he still can improve and thinks that under the guidance of Guardiola, he will get even better as the season progresses.

“It is an honour to be working with another great coach and I am definitely looking forward to this season,” Robben told UEFA.com.

“I can make a step forward under this coach, I can learn from him. Every coach has his own ideas, his own views on how he wants the team to play.

“Guardiola will make some small adjustments and we want to put more pressure on forward players to win the ball as quickly as possible.”

Robben is set to line up against his former club Chelsea, in the European Super Cup on Friday.

Despite being underdogs for the match, the Dutchman thinks his old team, under the guidance of Jose Mourinho, will prove to be a challenge for Bayern.

Chelsea have had two wonderful years and now their former coach has returned,” he continued.

“I think very highly of Mourinho. It will be a great match”.
