Check in to Transfer Window: Done Deal Alerts

Arsenal have made an approach for Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella, the Daily Star reports.

Quagliarella is believed to be available for a transfer this summer as he has been pushed down the pecking order by the arrivals of Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez.

Arsenal are the latest Premier League club to have shown interest in Quagliarella, with Norwich also thought to be interested in signing the 30 year old earlier in the transfer window.

West Ham were also linked with the striker but it is now Arsenal who look set to make their move.

The Gunners have spoken to Juventus about the possibility of signing Quagliarella but have stopped short of making a formal bid.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is desperate to bolster his attacking options before the transfer window closes and Quagliarella is latest striker to have been linked with the Gunners.

Wenger failed in his attempts at signing Gonzalo Higuain and Luis Suarez and now appears to have moved onto his secondary targets.

Quagliarella would probably be interested in a move to Arsenal as it would give him the opportunity of playing first team football whilst also getting the chance to play in the Champions League.
