Highly rated wide man takes step closer to Premier League move.
Porto winger Christian Atsu is in London to complete a medical ahead of his move to Chelsea, Sky Sports reports.
Atsu has reportedly agreed a personal terms on a five-year deal worth around £3.5 million and is at the club to undertake a medical that could see the move wrapped up over the weekend with plenty of time left to do business in the transfer window.
However, Blues fans will have to wait some time to see the 21-year-old Ghanaian international in a blue shirt as the deal will see him join feeder club Vitesse Arnhem on a season-long loan deal with immediate effect, where he will join the likes of Patrick Van Arnholt, Gael Kakuta, Cristian Cuevas and Lucas Piazon.
Atsu’s arrival could now spell the end of the line for Victor Moses, who could now leave the club to join West Bromwich Albion after manager Steve Clarke expressed an interest in bringing him to the Hawthornes.
The former Wigan man has yet to feature under new boss Jose Mourinho and has been left out of the European Super Cup clash with Bayern Munich on Friday in Prague.
