Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson has said that he and his teammates are looking forward to the derby clash with Arsenal and has admitted that they are in a confident mood after notching up two victories so far this season, talkSPORT reports.

The two sides will meet next Sunday with Spurs hoping to maintain a 100% record after recording back-to-back 1-0 victories over Crystal Palace and Swansea City already. Arsenal have had a somewhat checkered start to their own campaign, having gone down 3-1 to Aston Villa before overcoming Fulham by the same scoreline.

But with the game coming in Tottenham’s back yard, Dawson has fired a warning to Arsene Wenger by saying that they are up for the encounter and will be looking to compound the side’s misery following the heavy criticism he has received this summer for dragging his feet in the transfer market.

“We’re full of confidence and we go there looking strong,” said Dawson.

“We know next week is going to be a tough game because it’s a north London derby but it’s one we’re looking forward to and we go there full of confidence.”

Spurs are continuing their heavy recruitment policy with the signings of Roma’s Erik Lamela and Ajax’s Christian Eriksen just days away from signing.
