Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Reading winger Jimmy Kebe for an undisclosed fee, Crystal Palace’s official website has announced.

The 29 year old has spent the last four and a half years at Reading, making 190 appearances for the Berkshire based club.

He becomes manager Ian Hollway’s 11th signing of the summer and arrives at Selhurst Park on the same day that Palace recorded their first win of the Premier League season, beating Sunderland 3-1.

“It’s a big move for me, I didn’t know if I was  going to be able to move in this transfer window but getting back to the Premier  League was my main target. I’m very excited about it.

“I talked to the manager and you can see how  excited he is and I’m ready for the challenge. It’s a big opportunity for the  club and we know it’s not going to be easy to stay in this league as there’s a  lot of good clubs but anything is possible, so we’ll try our best.

The signing of Kebe will be a big boast for manager Ian Holloway, who has been trying desperately to improve clubs squad this summer.

Kebe could be joined at Selhurst Park by West Ham attacker Ricardo Vaz Te, with reports suggesting that the Portuguese star could be close to joining Palace before the transfer window closes on Monday night.
