Everton are preparing for the possible departure of key duo Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines to Manchester United, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Toffees have Chelsea left-back Ryan Bertrand in mind as a replacement for Baines, while manager Roberto Martinez could revive his interest in bringing Wigan midfielder James McCarthy to the club in place of Fellaini.

Feyenoord youngster Bruno Martins Indi could also be on the Spaniard’s shortlist, with Everton ready to do business with United if they offer £45million for key pair Fellaini and Baines.

These two players were highly influential for the club in a good season last year, and former manager David Moyes is keen to bring them with him to Old Trafford, after quitting Goodison Park earlier this summer.

Bertrand could be available after failing to establish himself as a regular at Chelsea over the last few years, despite showing some promise early on in his career at the club.

Martins Indi can also operate at left-back, though his preferred position is as a central defender, and he has shown plenty of promise in the last three seasons in the Eredivisie.

Everton look to have missed out on another Chelsea squad player however, with Victor Moses looking like sealing a loan move to rivals Liverpool.
