Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is reportedly set for talks with West Brom over a possible return to the Baggies on a loan deal according to Sky Sports.
The young Belgian spent last season on loan at the Hawthorns, scoring 17 Premier League goals for West Brom, and having failed to force his way into Jose Mourinho’s first team set-up it seems a move back to the clubs is on the cards.
The 20 year old enjoyed a good pre-season with the Blues but has made two sub appearances in the Premier League thus far and the arrival of Samuel Eto’o from Anzhi may well further limit his chances of making an impact at the West London club this season.
Steve Clarke could well do with the addition of fresh firepower having seen his side fail to score in each of their opening three Premier League matches this season.
Lukaku’s goals helped West Brom secure a healthy mid-table finish and Clarke will hope the return of the powerful marksman will help revive their fortunes after a poor start to the campaign.
