The French striker has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal but Karim Djaziri insists that his client will be remaining at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Karim Benzema’s agent Karim Djaziri has rubbished rumours suggesting his client could be set for a move to Arsenal, Goal.com reports.
Benzema is one of several Real Madrid players who have been linked with a dead line day move to Arsenal as Gunners boss Arsene Wenger desperately tries to strengthen his squad before the transfer window closes at 11pm.
Mesut Ozil and Angel Di Maria could both be moving to the Emirates before 11pm but Djaziri insists that despite reports, Benzema won’t be joining them.
“Nothing has changed,” Djaziri told BBC Sport. “Karim isn’t joining Arsenal or anybody else. He’s staying at Real Madrid.
“In any case, he’s joined up with the France team today, and I doubt they’d even allow him to leave to discuss a move.”
Real Madrid are desperate to offload several players following the world record signing of Gareth Bale and Benzema is believed to be one of the players that coach Carlo Ancelotti would like to sell.
Reports suggest that Madrid are set to re-ignite their interest in Liverpool’s Luis Suarez and if the Uruguayan does move to the Santiago Bernabeu, then Benzema would surely be surplus to requirements.
