The agent of Manchester United defender Alexander Buttner claims that the Dutchman has now lost the trust of new Red Devils head coach David Moyes, according to reports on talkSPORT.

The Premier League champions made no secret of their desire to bring a new left-back to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window, with Moyes making frantic last-ditch efforts to sign both full-backs Leighton Baines and Fabio Coentrao from Everton and Real Madrid respectively on transfer deadline day, only for the Scot to fail to land either player.

And that has seemingly upset United’s former Netherlands Under-21 international, who only arrived at Old Trafford from Eredivisie outfit Vitesse Arnhem last August on a five-year contract, in a deal arranged by former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

In his debut campaign in the north-west, the 24-year-old appeared in 13 matches in total for the Red Devils in all competitions, scoring two goals in the process, both of which came in the Premier League, with the left back’s agent now saying that his client has lost all faith in his new boss.

“Under Sir Alex Ferguson, Buttner was the up-and-coming man,” Alexander Bursac told Voetbal International.

“He started playing in more games and was trusted in training. That sense of trust is not there now.”

It is now expected that Buttner will join Turkish giants Besiktas on a season-long loan, with the Turkish summer transfer window staying open until Friday.
