Arsenal & Chelsea May Move For Ukraine Star In January

Dnipro Dnipropretovsk wide man Yehven Konoplyanka is said to be interesting a number of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea and champions Manchester United, according to reports in the Daily Mirror.

The exciting Ukraine international is set to feature for his country in their crucial FIFA World Cup Group H qualifier against England in Kiev on Tuesday night.

However, according to the 23-year-old’s agent, Konoplyanka could have already been a Premier League player by the time the two group rivals kick off in the Ukrainian capital after an unnamed top-flight club bid £10m for the winger’s services during the recent summer transfer window.

However, it is understood that Konoplyanka’s current employers value their star man at nearer the 20m euros mark, although another impressive display against Roy Hodgson’s Three Lions at the Olympic stadium on Tuesday could see that price rise further.

Konoplyanka really caught the eye with a number of outstanding performances for his country during last summer’s European Championship in his homeland and Poland.

And the player’s agent has confirmed that he expects a number of Premier League clubs to come in for his client when the transfer window reopens again for business in January.

“There was a bid of around £10m from a Premier League club this summer, who we expect to go back in for him in January,” the Ukrainian’ star’s agent James Lippett told Mirror Sport.

“Dnipro rate the player very highly and have no need to sell, but would expect €20m (£16.8m) for him.

“We know that there are top six clubs in England and also in the Bundesliga that are looking at him for next summer, but we will have to see what happens.

“Of course the player would be very interested in testing himself at that sort of level.”
