Palace Suffer Double Injury Blow

Eagle’s squad takes hit on injuries.Premier League new boys Crystal Palace have been handed a double injury blow after receiving news that full back Jack Hunt and midfielder Jonathan Williams will be out for the rest of the year, the Express reports.

Defender Hunt had only signed on from Huddersfield Town on transfer deadline day for a fee believed to be in the region of £2m, but he soon revealed on Instagram that he had broken his foot in a freak training ground accident and will now expected to sit on the sidelines until the new year at the earliest.

However, Welsh midfielder Williams was forced to report back from international duty after damaging knee ligaments.

The loss of Williams will be a considerable blow to Ian Holloway’s plans as the tricky 19-year-old, know affectionately as ‘Joniesta’ was due to make an indelible impact on the top flight this season.

Sadly, he will now miss out until the new year too. The news will come as a severe blow as he only recently recovered from a broken leg last season. He missed around six weeks of action in August and September, but that didn’t stop him from earning the club’s Young Player of the Year award.
