In-form Liverpool front-man Daniel Sturridge is on course to feature for the Premier League leaders in their trip to take on Swansea City at the Liberty stadium on Monday night after recovering from injury, according to reports in the Daily Telegraph.

The red-hot England international was forced to sit out his country’s recent FIFA World Cup qualifying double header against both Moldova at Wembley Stadium on Friday night, as well as the more important visit to face group H rivals Ukraine in Kiev on Tuesday, due to a thigh strain picked up playing against Notts County in the Capital One Cup at Anfield last month.

Sturridge then aggravated the problem further by featuring in the Reds’ home clash against Premier League champions Manchester United, although the 24-year-old did still manage to score the winner against the Red Devils with an early header.

And that strike meant that Sturridge had scored five goals in his opening four fixtures for Liverpool head coach Brendan Rodgers so far in the new season, all resulting in wins for the Merseyside giants across two different competitions, making him a welcome return to the squad for the visit to South Wales.
