Misfiring Arsenal Striker Nicklas Bendtner Enters Personal Boot Camp In Order To Lose Weight

Dane had been expected to leave the Emirates this summer. Check in to Sunderland vs Arsenal

Unwanted Arsenal front man Nicklas Bendtner is currently being forced to train by himself in his homeland as the Dane looks to get himself back to full fitness following a summer of inactivity, according to reports in the Daily Mirror.

The Denmark international had been made surplus to requirements at the Emirates by Gunners head coach Arsene Wenger, with Bendtner spending the whole of the close-season transfer window trying to find a new club for this campaign.

However, despite plenty of interest in the misfiring striker from various clubs across the Continent, including the likes of Turkish champions Galatasaray and Liga outfit Malaga, as well as both Premier League new boys Crystal Palace and Hull City, Bendtner was still an Arsenal player when the summer transfer window slammed shut for business for the year on Sept 2 because of his excessive wage demands.

And now due to the fact that the 25-year-old missed Arsenal’s entire pre-season training programme while he looked for a new club, Bendtner has been forced to enter his own boot camp back home in Copenhagen, in order to lose weight before he can team up with the rest of the Gunners squad again at London Colney at the end of this month.

“He needs more fitness and has had a few problems, but it is not as if he needs to lose 20 kilogrammes,” confirmed Thomas Jorgensen, his personal trainer.
