David Moyes Unhappy With Ashley Young Dive

United boss plans talks with winger after penalty dive in Palace victory.Manchester United manager David Moyes plans to speak to Ashley Young about diving, as the winger looked to have cheated to win a penalty in United’s 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace today, Sky Sports reports.

Young has come under criticism for going down too easily in the past, and appeared to make the most of a challenge from Palace’s Kagisho Dikgacoi at Old Trafford this afternoon, earning himself a yellow card from referee Jon Moss.

He was then awarded a penalty from a later challenge from the same player, which saw Dikgacoi sent off and a penalty awarded to United, which Robin van Persie tucked away to make it 1-0 and set the team on course for victory.

Moyes admits he was not happy with what he saw from Young, and feels his opponents were hard done by on the day.

“I don’t want my players diving,” said Moyes, when asked about the yellow card. “I don’t want anybody doing it.

“The boy (Dikgacoi) definitely throws his leg out but I think Ashley has put his leg into his leg. It is not what I want.”

A free-kick from Wayne Rooney later made it 2-0 to United, giving Moyes his second Premier League win as United manager, and a first since the opening day of the campaign when they beat Swansea 4-1 at the Liberty Stadium.

Palace, meanwhile, have lost three out of their opening four games, in what looks like a challenging season ahead.
