Tottenham striker Roberto Soldado was full of praise for debutant Christian Eriksen after the Dane helped the side to a 2-0 win over Norwich City on Saturday, Sky Sports reports.

The 21-year-old playmaker is one of many new arrivals at White Hart Lane this season after arriving from Ajax for £11.5m, and he made an immediate impact in his first game for the club with an assist in Gylfi Sigurdsson’s first goal against the Canaries yesterday.

Soldado himself is new to the club, having signed from Valencia for £26m earlier in the summer, and he believes Eriksen already looks a great addition after his classy performance this weekend.

Known for being a skillful and intelligent attacking midfielder, Soldado believes he can provide Spurs’ attacking players with the ammunition they need to shine, and praised the starlet for making the game look easy.

“He is a brilliant player. It’s incredible that he has got up to this level already in his first game in English football,” the Spanish international said.

“It’s great for him, for the team. He is a player who is capable of improving all of us.

“He is a player that makes everything look easy and that’s good for us. Today he made the difference; he’s a player that can support us in everything we do. He can offer us a lot of passes to everyone who plays in attack for Spurs.”

The win over Norwich made it three wins out of four for this new-look Tottenham team, who are second only to rivals Arsenal in the Premier League table at this early stage of the season.

Soldado is currently Spurs’ top scorer, with four goals in five games so far this year.
