Manchester City are said to be keeping tabs on the progress of highly-rated Udinese youngster Piotr Zielinski ahead of a possible move in the January transfer window, according to talkSPORT.

The 19-year-old midfielder started his youth career back in his native Poland before being brought to Italy in 2011, and has been an impressive performer in Serie A since making his debut for Udinese last season.

The Polish international is now supposedly in the sights of City manager Manuel Pellegrini, as the Chilean is already eyeing up some potential additions to his side for January.

Zielinski is a skillful midfield player with an eye for goal, having scored three times already in just five caps for the Polish national team, though he is yet to get off the mark for his club.

Pellegrini spent big on bringing in established and experienced players during the summer, but is also keen on finding the best young talent for the club, with Zielinski in particular attracting his attention at the moment after the club’s scouts were sent to watch him play.

Other potential January targets for City could include Porto starlet Eliaquim Mangala and unsettled Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas.
