Old Trafford side ready to launch fresh bid for Goodison Park star.
It appears that David Moyes has not given up hope of landing Everton full-back Leighton Baines with Sports Direct News claiming that the Old Trafford boss is ready to make a new offer for the England international.
Moyes is ready to use Brazilian midfielder Anderson as part of a player plus cash offer for the 28 year old left-back, an offer that Roberto Martinez may be open to considering.
The Spaniard has brought in Gareth Barry on a loan deal from Man City but could see 25 year old Anderson as a better long term option in relation to improving his central midfield options, especially given that Marouane Fellaini has left Goodison Park.
Man United failed with official bids for Baines who is one of the Premier League’s most consistent performers. The former Wigan Athletic man may well jump at the chance of a move to the Premier League title holders knowing that such a move would not only give him a taste of Champions League football and the genuine chance to win major honours but would also help in his pursuit of a regular spot in Roy Hodgson’s national team set-up, all the more important given the World Cup Finals are on the horizon.
Baines has made a total of 250 appearances for Everton since moving to the Merseyside club back in July 2007.
