Stamford Bridge side join Bundesliga duo in chase for teenage winger.
Chelsea are set to battle Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich & Borussia Dortmund in pursuit of highly rated young Wolfsburg winger Julian Brandt according to Sports Direct News.
The 18 year old is on the fringes of the Wolfsburg first team set-up and has been capped nine times by the German Under 17 side.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho is known to be a big admirer of the young wide-man and wants to lure the starlet to Stamford Bridge but may struggle to see off competition from interested German clubs.
Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs is seemingly well aware of the potential Brandt possesses and has stated on interest in the player;
“The fact that English and Italian clubs want him too, is nothing new. He has been well trained by us.”
Brandt may be reticent about a move to Chelsea having seen fellow German winger Marko Marin struggle to make the grade, having barely had a look in, before being loaned out to La Liga side Sevilla.
