Liverpool are reportedly keeping a close eye on Lazio teenager Keita Balde Diao according to Mercato365

Brendan Rodgers is known for adopting a youthful transfer policy, one that in turn adheres to the Anfield club’s owners long term plans, and as such a move for the Spanish born Senegalese teenager is perhaps a sensible one to consider when you consider the potential the 18 year old appears to possess.

Diao came through Barcelona’s famed youth academy but opted against signing a professional deal with the Catalan club and instead moved to Rome to sign for Lazio in the summer of 2011 and the young forward has seen his good work with the club’s Primavera side result in debut displays in both Serie A and the Europa League this term.

Lazio would presumably be reticent about considering offers for Keita and as the teenager has now started to get a taste of first team action, at a relatively young age, there would perhaps be less of a reason for the forward to consider leaving the Stadio Olimpico any time soon.

Rodgers has seen his young squad start the season in solid fashion and the club’s responsible transfer structure has held Liverpool in good stead.
