German minnows score a most confusing free kick.
German side Rot-Weiss Essen completed a comeback from being two goals down to fellow fourth division side Wattenscheid 09 by creating and scoring a most unique free kick routine.
The game ended 2-2 and Benedikt Koep’s 80th minute strike secured a point for the side who sought to take matters into their own hands in order to get back on level terms.
Facing a set play with ten minutes left on the clock, Essen over-stocked their options by having six players hover over the ball.
The move appeared to go awry as two players went to strike the ball at the same time, but Koep soon stepped around to curl an effort into the back of the net.
