Napoli are the latest of many clubs to be linked with a move for Barcelona right-back Martin Montoya as he seems to head ever closer to an exit from the Nou Camp, talkSPORT reports.

The 22-year-old is a highly rated prospect in Spain, though his path to a regular first-team spot in Gerardo Martino’s side is currently blocked by Brazilian international Dani Alves, leading him to consider his future at the club.

Barca are keen to tie Montoya down to a new contract, though talks have not progressed between the club and the player, with a growing number of top teams around Europe showing a strong interest in signing the Spaniard on a free next summer when his current deal runs out.

Arsenal are said to be prioritising Montoya as a possible replacement for Bacary Sagna, whose own future remains uncertain, though they face plenty of competition from the likes of Liverpool and Inter Milan, and now Napoli.

Rafael Benitez is keen to add more Spanish players to his squad in Naples, adding Montoya to the likes of Jose Callejon, Raul Albiol and Pepe Reina, and the Barcelona youngster may feel it is tempting to team up with his fellow countryman in Serie A.
