Chelsea boss left fuming after journalists’ questions.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho stormed out of a press conference ahead of his side’s Champions League tie with Steaua Bucharest after being questioned on his decision to drop Kevin De Bruyne, according to 101 Great Goals.
The Blues boss made a surprise decision to leave the Belgian starlet out of his side and sent the youngster to train with Chelsea’s Under-21s, in a controversial move that has seen the midfielder’s future at the club come under some speculation.
This latest move to drop a key player comes after several weeks of questions over Juan Mata, who was another surprise exclusion from many of Mourinho’s recent squads, despite the Spaniard being one of the club’s best players over the last few seasons.
The Portuguese coach, who returned to Chelsea from Real Madrid this summer, appeared to finally lose his patience with the press, saying he doesn’t like being constantly asked about players who aren’t playing.
Mourinho often criticised the media for giving him a difficult time in Spain, though he has mostly enjoyed a good relationship with the English press before deciding to walk out on them today after they challenged him on a key decision yet again.
