Arsenal are reportedly readying a move for AC Milan striker Stephan El Shaarawy as Arsene Wenger looks to strengthen his Gunners attack according to Tribalfootball.

The 20 year old had an excellent season last term, scoring 19 goals in all competitions, but the January arrival of Mario Balotelli and the summer signing of experienced Juventus man Alessando Matri has certainly affected the young Italian international’s progress at the San Siro.

El Shaarawy has started just one of AC Milan’s six Serie A fixtures this season and is apparently a player the Italian giants are now willing to cash in on.

Arsenal will face competition from Man City, who are also said to be keen on the forward, though if Wenger can keep his side at the top of the Premier League come January then the North London side could well be confident of winning the race to sign El Shaarawy.

Wenger depends heavily on Olivier Giroud, who has performed well thus far this season, and injury concerns over both Theo Walcott and Lukas Podolski may well further force the French boss to make a big offer for El Shaarawy in January.
