Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester City are understood to both be interested in signing highly rated young Racing Club forward Luciano Vietto, according to reports in the Daily Mail.

The promising Argentina Under-20 international has been labelled as the “best young player in Argentina”, however, it is understood that some of the Continent’s biggest clubs have also been keeping close tabs on Vietto of late, including Spanish giants Real Madrid and Serie A champions Juventus.

The 19-year-old has been at Racing for the past two years now, during which time Vietto has appeared in 36 league matches for the Argentinian outfit, with the attacker managing to find the back of the net on an impressive 13 occasions during that time.

And now as a result, it appears as though a whole host of big-name European clubs are lining up to sign Vietto, with the player’s representative even admitting as much recently.

“Vietto is the best young player in Argentina. I have received many offers from several European clubs,” confirmed his agent Jorge Cyterszpiler.

Vietto, whose progress at Racing has reportedly been closely monitored by both mega-rich City and Liverpool for more than a year now, was actually given his first-team debut at the Estadio Juan Domingo Peron by the now head coach of Atletico de Madrid, Diego Simeone, in October 2011.
