Stamford Bridge side could move for White Hart Lane man.
Chelsea have surprisingly been linked with a potential move for Tottenham new-boy Vlad Chiriches with the player’s agent claiming a move to Stamford Bridge could be on the cards according to the Daily Star.
The 23 year old Romanian international moved to White Hart Lane in August but is yet to be involved in any Premier League action however that hasn’t stopped his agent suggesting his client could move to West London with Victor Becali stating;
“If he has one or two good seasons at Tottenham, Chelsea will be willing to pay a large sum to buy Chiriches.
“Mourinho says he has been aware of him since he was at Real Madrid.”
Tottenham spent £8.5m on Chiriches, part of a massive spending spree initiated by Andre Villas-Boas and covered by the sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid, among others.
Villas-Boas chose to allow Steven Caulker to join Cardiff City which left him a little light on central defensive options, hence his push to bring in Chiriches from Steau Bucharest.
Jose Mourinho has a fair few centre-backs to choose from at present with the likes of John Terry, Gary Cahill, David Luiz and Branislav Ivanovic in his Blues armoury.
