Juventus Eye End-Of-Season Swoop For Disillusioned Chelsea Striker

Juve are said to be desperate to land the muscular Belgium next summer.

Serie A champions Juventus are interested in signing unwanted Chelsea front man Romelu Lukaku at the end of the season, according to reports in the Daily Mirror.

The powerful Belgium international is currently spending a season-long loan spell with Merseyside giants Everton after surprisingly being made surplus to requirements once again at Stamford Bridge in this campaign by returning Blues head coach Jose Mourinho.

Lukaku was also shipped out last season by the then Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo, with the prolific 20-year-old spending the campaign on loan with West Bromwich Albion.

And the forward enjoyed an eye-catching season at the Hawthorns under the management of one-time Chelsea assistant manager Steve Clarke, registering 17 goals and four assists in total in his 38 matches in all competitions for the Baggies, all of which came in the Premier League.

However, Lukaku has also began his latest loan spell on fire, having already recorded three goals and one assist in just two top-flight encounters for Roberto Martinez’s high-flying Toffees, form in front of goal that has now reportedly caught the attentions of the ‘Old Lady of Italian Football’.

And with Lukaku recently changing agents so that he is now represented by Italian super-agent Mino Raiola, a move to Turin could be on the cards come the end of the season with the player said to have become disillusioned with his treatment by the west London club of late.
