Barcelona’s search for a long term successor to current first choice keeper Victor Valdes has reportedly taken the Catalan side to Glasgow as Nou Camp boss Gerardo Martino sets his sights on Celtic custodian Fraser Forster according to Sport.es.

Experienced Spaniard Valdes has publicly stated his intention to leave Barcelona next summer when his current contract runs out and this has led to speculation linking the La Liga giants with a number of high profile replacements.

Barcelona know all about Forster’s ability between the sticks having faced the former Newcastle United man three times over the past year and a move for the massive 6ft 7in 25 year old would be a sensible, if not spectacular, one to consider.

This source claims that a fee in excess of £10m would be needed to land the Bhoys star and it’s surely fairly likely that should a concrete offer be made that the Celtic keeper would jump at the chance of a move to join Barcelona.

Neil Lennon knows he faces a struggle to keep hold of any of his top performers when clubs from any of the ‘Big Leagues’ come calling having seen Gary Hooper and Victor Wanyama lured to Norwich City and Southampton respectively this summer.
