Old Trafford side line up move for Stamford Bridge star.
Man United are readying a January offer for Chelsea playmaker Juan Mata as Old Trafford boss David Moyes looks to bring in some much needed creativity to his side according to Sports Direct News.
The 26 year old Spanish international has found himself out of Jose Mourinho’s starting eleven, and even on occasion his squad entirely, at points this season and Moyes may feel he could make the most of any uncertainty regarding his Stamford Bridge future with a cheeky bid for the former Valencia man when the transfer window re-opens.
Mourinho has opted to use Oscar in an attacking midfield role and with a World Cup finals tournament on the horizon Juan Mata knows that regular first team football is key.
Man United will look to offer Mata a guaranteed first team spot though one would imagine Chelsea wouldn’t consider offers for a top performer from a direct Premier League rival so any move seems hugely unlikely.
Since his move to Chelsea back in August 2011 Juan Mata has scored 32 goals and provided near on 50 assists and has been a pivotal part of the club’s triumphant cup successes that have led to Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup winners medals for the pint sized playmaker.
However this season Mata has started just two of Chelsea’s opening six Premier League fixtures.
The arrival of Marouane Fellaini at Man United has as yet failed to breath life into the club’s somewhat brittle midfield and as such a move for Mata is a brave, and potentially ideal, one to consider.
