Spanish giants set sights on City stars.
City are likely to hold out for big money for two of their star players, and have little need to be in the market to sell any members of their squad this January, but Real Madrid have an excellent track record of landing their top targets for whatever the price.
The Spanish giants most recently succeeded in a summer-long pursuit for Gareth Bale, signing the Welshman from Tottenham for a world-record fee of £85m.
However, Carlo Ancelotti’s side have not made the most convincing start to the season, and will look to keep spending in January in a bid to strengthen and catch rivals Barcelona in the title race.
Aguero has been in fine form so far this season for City, and the former Atletico Madrid man could be seen as a direct replacement for Karim Benzema, who seems increasingly likely to leave the Bernabeu in the near future.
David Silva, meanwhile, is a similar player to Mesut Ozil, whom Real Madrid sold to Arsenal during the summer, and Los Blancos seem to be missing his creativity from midfield.
