CSKA Moscow’s highly-rated Japanese midfielder Keisuke Honda looks likely to snub Premier League offers and make the move to AC Milan this January, according to Forza Italian Football.

Liverpool will set to be disappointed, as they had supposedly made the talented 27-year-old one of their top targets for January, along with the likes of Arsenal and Everton.

Honda has long attracted interest from top European clubs, and has been a key performer for CSKA Moscow since arriving at the Russian giants in 2010, scoring 27 goals for the club in 115 appearances.

Known for being a highly technical attacking midfielder with an eye for a long range shot or quality set-piece, Honda has supposedly given his word to Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani that he would join the club, although a fee is yet to be agreed between the Italian giants and CSKA.

Honda grew up as a Milan fan and is expected to be given the number 10 jersey if he moves to the San Siro this January.

He may not be the only big name arriving at the club in the next transfer window, as Milan also hope to bring in Nemanja Vidic from Manchester United.
