Premier League champions Manchester United are set to step up their chase in exciting Desportivo Brazil player Bruno Gomes as interest in the youngster in clubs throughout the world increases, according to reports in the Daily Star.

The exciting and hugely talented 17-year-old was on trial at Old Trafford during the summer, with it being widely assumed that the Red Devils would then offer the attacker a contract in the north west for when he turned 18 years of age, although as yet, no deal has materialised.

And that delay in tying Gomes down has now seemingly opened the door for a whole host of other big-name clubs on Planet Football, with Spanish giants Real Madrid, Serie A high-flyers Napoli and Brazilian outfit Sao Paulo all understood to be keen on signing Gomes.

However, if recent reports in Brazil are to be believed, then the player’s first-choice destination remains the ‘Theatre of Dreams’, although despite new United head coach David Moyes still having first refusal to sign Gomes, should an offer of a certain level for the youngster be received by his club, then the top-flight outfit lose all claims over the starlet.

Either way, it is thought that Moyes is a huge fan of Gomes’s and will push for the club to offer him a new shortly.
