Black Cats winger happy to see Gus get the job.
Sunderland winger Seb Larsson has insisted that new manager Gus Poyet is the best man to take the club in the right direction, Sky Sports reports.
The Swedish international is looking forward to working with the former Brighton manager after being given the opportunity to speak with him earlier in the week.
“I talked to him on Tuesday morning,” Larsson said.
“I’m looking forward to meeting him and working with him after playing for the national team.
“He was a very talented footballer himself who did a very, very good job at Brighton.”
Larsson is also pleased to see a change in management as he hopes to be able to re-establish himself in the Sunderland first team again after often being left on the bench or played out of position under Paolo Di Canio.
“Some managers like to tinker more than others, but that’s up to them,” he added.
“Hopefully, on a personal level, I can settle down into one position and know what the manager wants from me.
“It was a little bit frustrating at times with moving about and not always knowing what the manager wants from you and what he’s asking for you to do.
“Hopefully, I’ll have a clear idea of what he (Poyet) wants from me on a personal level.”
