Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina has revealed what he sleeps in at night, and bizarrely enough it’s Mario Balotelli’s Milan shirt, the Metro reports.

The on-loan Liverpool custodian is already proving himself to be a big hit in Serie A since joining the San Paolo outfit during the summer, and he has further endeared himself to the Neapolitan faithful with his latest admission.

So far his greatest achievement at the club has been saving a Mario Balotelli penalty when the two sides met last month. Napoli came away with all three points and Reina was left with the impressive accolade of being the first goalkeeper to save a Mario Balotelli penalty.

And while Reina has won the World Cup, European Championships and Uefa Super Cup, it appears his best trophy to date was Balotelli’s shirt from after the match.

Now the 31-year-old has gone a step further by admitting that he is so proud of himself and his antics that he now sleeps in Balotelli’s Rossoneri shirt that he acquired after the final whistle.

“I wear very special pyjamas now,” said Reina.

“It is made up of the Milan shirt Balotelli was wearing when I saved his penalty and some Napoli shorts.

“After saving the penalty, I couldn’t resist asking him for his jersey, as it was a historic event.

“He gave it to me and I brought it here to create an unusual pyjama kit.”
