Man United are reportedly scouting in-form playmaker Remy Cabella with David Moyes said to be ready to launch a £15m January bid for the Montpellier youngster according to the Metro.

The 23 year old is considered one of the hottest prospects in French football and is a player Moyes may feel can add creativity to his rather brittle midfield.

Eccentric Montpellier president Louis Nicollin stated in the summer that it would take a bid of ‘at least £100million’ to convince them to sell but a concrete offer from Man United could well turn the player’s head and help in the chase to sign the attack minded midfielder.

Moyes has already stated his intention to sign at least two new players when the transfer window re-opens and Cabella may well be a very realistic target.

The adaptable attacker can play in an attacking midfield role, out wide or in the ‘hole’ behind the strikers and has been compared to French legend Zinedine Zidane.

With Moyes seemingly not seeing Shinji Kagawa as part of his first team plans a move for Cabella seems a sensible way to add more verve to his first team set-up and the Ajaccio born talent could be an ideal addition that could ably link midfield and attack.

Cabella has started the current campaign brightly, scoring five goals and providing two assists in seven Ligue 1 starts.
