Stamford Bridge side set sights on Juventus starlet.
Chelsea are readying a £25m bid for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba according to the Metro.
Jose Mourinho is no doubt keen to add some steel and determination to go alongside the abundance of creativity in his midfield and as such a move for French international Pogba is a wise one to consider.
The former Man United man has been a big success since moving to Turin and is now a regular in the national team set-up but Mourinho is determined to raid the Serie A title holders in pursuit of the hugely talented youngster.
The box to box performer is strong in the tackle but is also very adept at pushing forwards to support the attack and weighs in with more than his fair share of goals.
Mourinho may feel that in terms of battlers Pogba offers more than the likes of Michael Essien or John Obi Mikel and Chelsea can almost certainly offer financial terms far superior to the deal he is currently on at Juventus.
Pogba has made 46 appearances for Juventus and scored seven goals in the process and could prove to be a tough player for Antonio Conte to keep hold of in January.
