Manchester United Move Step Closer To Signing Brazil Attacking Starlet

Red Devils hope to snap the forward up as soon as he turns 18.

Premier League champions Manchester United are edging closer to a deal to sign highly rated Desportivo Brazil forward Bruno Gomes, according to reports in the Daily Express.

It is understood that the exciting 17-year-old left a huge impression on recently appointed Red Devils head coach David Moyes during the summer when the Brazilian spent time in the north west on trial.

H0wever, the Premier League giants are now believed to want to push ahead with plans to sign Gomes by offering the much-talked about starlet a contract at the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ as soon as he turns 18 years of age.

And that is because United are said to be well aware of rising interest in Gomes’s services from a number of big-name clubs from across the Continent, including the likes of Spanish giants Real Madrid, Serie A outfits Napoli and Udinese and Brazilian side Sao Paulo.

But if reports are to be believed, then it is Moyes and United who have first refusal on Gomes thanks to a deal that was put in place last year by the club’s former manager Sir Alex Ferguson, with the Scot having also been a huge fan of the wonderkid.
