Fulham and West Bromwich Albion are both believed to be interested in Dynamo Kiev midfielder Lukman Haruna and will go head-to-head for his signature in the January transfer window, Sky Sports reports.

Reports coming from the players homeland of Nigeria have suggested that scouts from the two English sides have sent scouts to monitor his progress several times.

And the 22-year-old has hinted that he could be open to move to the Premier League, by saying that a switch to England could help him get back into the Nigerian national set up.

“I am definitely flattered by the links with Premier League clubs, I almost joined the Premier League before coming to Kiev.

“Fulham is a very good club in London. My ambition at the moment is to get back into the Nigerian team, I want to be part of the team and give my best to the country.

“I played in the 2010 World Cup and to do the same in the World Cup in Brazil could be fantastic.

“I am scoring goals in the Ukrainian League and hopefully that influences the coach to call me back.”

Haruna joined Kiev from French side Monaco back in 2011 and has gone on to make over 50 appearances during his two year stint in the Ukrainian capital.
