Man United Linked With Surprise Celtic Raid

Old Trafford side target Parkhead custodian.

Man United have been surprisingly linked with an interest in Celtic keeper Fraser Forster by the Daily Mail.

This source claims that David Moyes has concerns over David de Gea’s ability between the sticks, which is a tad strange as the Spaniard has been in fine form, and apparently the Scot has ordered goalkeeper coach Chris Woods to scout possible replacements for the youngster.

Forster has been in great form himself, especially impressing during Champions League action, and the 25 year old would no doubt jump at the chance of a possible move to Man United, knowing that such a high profile move would aid his push to earn his first national team cap and push Joe Hart out of Roy Hodgson’s starting eleven.

The former Newcastle United man is certainly a very able custodian but a move to Man United seems highly unlikely though Celtic boss Neil Lennon will be concerned at the possibility of another of his top talents leaving Parkhead.

Lennon saw Victor Wanyama and Gary Hooper leave the Glasgow club for Southampton and Norwich City respectively over the summer.
