Old Trafford side encouraged to make fresh move for Bernabeu midfielder.
Man United are reportedly keen on Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira who has recently spoken of his unhappiness at the the Bernabeu.
Sports Direct News quotes the German international as feeling uncomfortable at the Spanish club and could therefore be open to a fresh challenge.
Khedira told Kicker:
“I’m not a Spanish player, I did not cost much money and I’m one of [Jose] Mourinho’s disciples.
“I started the season on the bench or in the stands. Although if I play well, I am the scapegoat and will therefore not be properly assessed.”
“Sometimes there are exceptions, but, overall, we play too complicatedly; everyone for himself. I do not know whether or not all of this is temporary, but we are not yet displaying team play.”
The 26 year old has been saddened by the departure of good friend Mesut Ozil, who left to join Arsenal in the summer, and doesn’t feel indispensable under new boss Carlo Ancelotti.
Man United could certainly do with more grit and determination in their midfield though the addition of Marouane Fellaini did to some extent address the lack of steel in the Old Trafford side.
Real Madrid may well be open to offers for the former Stuttgart man as they look to balance the books after spending over £130m on new signings over the summer.
