Arsenal to bid again for Reds front-man this January.
Arsenal look set to revive their interest in Liverpool striker Luis Suarez as he remains a top priority for Arsene Wenger in this January’s transfer window, according to Sports Direct News.
The Uruguayan international was a top target for the Gunners during the summer as they looked to bring in reinforcements upfront, though the Reds were understandably keen to avoid selling their best player to a major rival.
Real Madrid are also known to be interested in Suarez, who scored 30 goals last season, and are expected to make a big-money offer as well when the transfer window re-opens, but that has not deterred Arsenal in their pursuit of the talented 26-year-old.
Suarez is known to be keen on playing in the Champions League, and may be encouraged by Arsenal’s strong start to the season, though it is clear that Wenger’s side lack depth upfront, with only the in-form Olivier Giroud to pick from as their lone striker at the moment.
Arsenal also tried to sign the likes of Gonzalo Higuain and Michu during the summer, and continue to be linked with top class players such as Karim Benzema, though it is believed their interest in the Frenchman could be something of a smokescreen.
