New Inter Milan owner Erick Thohir is plotting an ambitious double raid on Real Madrid this January for key pair Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos, according to Forza Italian Football.
The Indonesian businessman recently bought out the majority of Inter Milan, who are now being linked with a whole host of big-money purchases this January.
As well as targeting several Premier League stars, the Italian giants could look to La Liga as they hope to bring in two of the biggest names from Spain’s most famous club.
Goalkeeper Casillas is currently unsettled at the Bernabeu and could be available this January due to manager Carlo Ancelotti’s preference for Diego Lopez between the sticks, though Spanish international centre-back Sergio Ramos is a far more ambitious target for Inter.
The defender has been with Real for the majority of his career after moving from Sevilla in 2005 and has established himself as a key player for the side, who are highly unlikely to allow him to leave anytime soon.
It is unclear how much Inter and Thohir are willing to pay to land the pair, but with Casillas likely to be valued at around £20m by the Spanish giants, Ramos could be close to double that amount.
