Roma playmaker on United radar this January.
Manchester United have been linked with a £25m bid for Roma playmaker and Tottenham target Miralem Pjanic in Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport, according to Football Italia.
Pjanic has been a highly impressive performer for Roma in recent times and has been highly influential in their remarkable start to this season, contributing 3 goals and 3 assists to the cause.
A creative midfield player, Manchester United manager David Moyes is said to have identified Pjanic as one of several targets to improve his side’s attack this season, with the Scot failing to bring in a long-term replacement for Paul Scholes during the summer.
United missed out on the likes of Thiago Alcantara and Cesc Fabregas, and are also monitoring Remy Cabella and Marek Hamsik this January, though they would also dearly love to beat rivals Tottenham to the signing of Pjanic.
The Bosnian international was linked with Spurs in the summer, though Roma were not keen on selling the north London side another key player after Erik Lamela made the move from the Stadio Olimipico to White Hart Lane.
It is unclear if Spurs will be back in for Pjanic this January, but United certainly look set to step up their interest in the talented 23-year-old, and are ready to pay big to land their target.
