Chelsea are reportedly ready to ring the changes as Jose Mourinho prepares move to offload as many as seven of his first team squad in a massive clear-out according to TuttoMercato.

The returning Blues boss has done a fair bit of rotation since moving back to West London and a number of top performers have been left wondering whether they have a Stamford Bridge future.

The biggest name among the seven listed by this source is Juan Mata, who has this season started just four of Chelsea’s nine Premier League fixtures, and is no doubt attracting a fair bit of interest with PSG, Atletico Madrid and Napoli all said to be keen on the pint sized playmaker.

England man Gary Cahill is also named as a possible exit bound player with Mourinho being able to call upon the likes of John Terry, David Luiz and Branislav Ivanovic as potential alternatives to the 27 year old.

Demba Ba,Kevin De Bruyne, Cesar Azpilicueta, John Obi Mikel and Ryan Bertrand are the other players who could be part of any January cull and it’s fair to say that all five are by no means first team regulars having collected just eight Premier League starts between them this season.

Mourinho may well be keen to conduct something of a squad re-shuffle as he looks to put his stamp on the squad he inherited from interim boss Rafa Benitez.
