Man United are ready to sell Brazilian midfielder Anderson for as little as £8m as David Moyes looks to offload the off form Old Trafford star according to the Daily Star.

Sir Alex Ferguson brought in Anderson from FC Porto for a whopping £27m fee back in 2007 but he has rarely come anywhere near justifying such an outlay and over the past couple of seasons the midfielder has flattered to deceive and is now very much a bit part player.

Anderson has also struggled with his fitness and weight over the past six and a half years and has made just two Premier League starts thus far this season.

This source claims a club ‘insider’ has stated;

“Anderson isn’t up to the standards required. He just hasn’t fulfiled his potential. If someone makes a decent bid for him in January he will be sold.”

Moyes is also keen to have the player’s £60k a week wages wiped off the balance sheet so that he can welcome a replacement in the January transfer window as he seeks to strengthen his under-performing squad.

Anderson has made a total of 173 appearances for Man United, scoring nine goals in the process.
